Dr. Caitlyn McHugh

Dr. Caitlyn McHugh was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated with honors. She went on to attend the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL where she graduated summa cum laude. During her time at ICO, she received the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy and was inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, Tomb and Key Honor Society and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She gained experience in pediatric eye care, vision therapy, contact lens fitting and primary care optometry during her clinical rotations.
Dr. McHugh fell in love with Chicago while at ICO and is thrilled to be practicing downtown in beautiful Lincoln Park. She loves seeing children- and their parents, too! Dr. McHugh has a special interest in diagnosing and managing binocular vision disorders and providing vision therapy for patients. She is an active member of College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the American Optometric Association, and the Illinois Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. McHugh enjoys biking, running, reading and cheering on the Blackhawks and Green Bay Packers.
